Please join Bruce Burris, one of the lead directors of ArtWorks, an Oregon-based nonprofit focusing on employment innovation, and Kaitlyn Menguc, artist and writer, for an exploratory workshop that emphasizes health and cultural equity through diverse artistic methods. Salmon Creek Journal and the Student Diversity Center will facilitate this exploration and panel discussion as part of Disability Awareness Month.

Working with non-traditional methods, artist Jessie Dunahoo will demonstrate tactile methods as a way to guide sculptural work, and enrich discussion of fine art’s intersections with all abilities.

Space in the 10:30 a.m. workshop will be limited to 15 participants, with free lunch and an open panel discussion to follow from 12-1 p.m. There is still time to sign up so R.S.V.P. on Cougsync as soon as possible.

For the panel discussion, we will also welcome Patrick Hackleman, Jamie Walsh, and Alana Unfried.
