Prospective Submissions for SCJ’s 2018 Theme Perspective
Although Salmon Creek Journal’s theme is not exclusive to the submissions we will receive this year, our hope as a team and an organization is that those who submit may use Perspective as a guide to channel both their literary and visual works. Perspective and its broad connotations are important since writers and artists stand together as creators of their own unique realm, sharing a space with others who witness and gravitate to the magnetism of the creator’s work.
Perspective can be an exchange of differing ideas. Perspective can also be the dimensional quality in which the depth of a work may ultimately encompass the surface, reflecting a new impression for each and every viewer. With a theme of Perspective driving our vision for the 2018 issue, our goal as a journal is to curate differing viewpoints, capturing the individual aesthetic while at the same time showing our similarities through the lens of diversity.
Works submitted with this theme in mind will be considered for showcase on the FSC Wall and publication in the 2018 issue.
Deadline for showcase submissions: Tuesday, November 21 at 11:55 P.M.
