SCJ Launch Party 2019 Recap

The SCJ Launch Party was a blast this year! Not only were we able to present the journal to fellow WSUV students, we were also able to enjoy snacks, a raffle, a photo booth, and much more!

Here are some highlights of the celebration:

SCJ Has a New Logo:

This year, the team felt it was important to make a change to the SCJ logo. The bottom right half of our crest used to be a dancer that resembled performance arts. Because we do not receive many of these types of submissions, our team believed that it would be more relatable to the journal if we changed the image to a camera to resemble our photography submissions.

Editors’ Choice Awards:

This year’s journal was filled with many beautiful and creative pieces. The editors’ choice awards went to:

Our Next Editor-in-Chief is Revealed:

During our launch party, we announced that our very own Prose Editor, Randal Houle, will be stepping in as SCJ’s Editor-in-Chief for the 2020 journal! With his vast amount of ideas, positive attitude, and knowledge, we cannot wait to see how he takes the journal to even greater heights!
